On April 28, 2007, Andy and I started our adventure to see the USA. After six years, we still feel blessed every day and in awe of all that surrounds us. So today, starts our seventh year!
At the Elks last night, we met Lee who was able to get us on the 10:00 AM Upper Antelope Canyon Tour this morning (Overland Tours). This time slot is considered prime because of the way the sun shines into the canyon and we were not disappointed.
In November of 2011, we visited the Lower Antelope Canyon and were awestruck. This Upper is more popular because it is shorter and easier to walk thru.
We started out in town, drove to the area, then back a few miles on a very sandy area:
There were only four people on our tour and initially I thought it was going to be very intimate but when we got to the start we saw lots of people – Yikees. The Upper Antelope Canyon is more popular than the Lower because it is easy to get to and easy to get thru. In the Lower Canyon, we had to do many steps, some crawling, and it was much tighter. Our blog from that canyon is here: Lower Antelope
The start of the canyon:
This is going to be an intensive picture blog. Walking thru this canyon and seeing the way the light plays on the walls is almost spiritual. No words can describe this beauty. Enjoy!
There are no words to describe the above – What a special place!
Another wonderful day!

Spectacular pics. Is this in Arizona? Where exactly?
I found it, what a great place that we'll have to visit. I know what you mean when you say you've got a blessed life because we feel the same way. We've been on the road the same amount of time as you guys.
Hi Denis and Sandy. It is wonderful isn't it... somedays I just pinch myself...
Anyway, do both Upper and Lower. We used Overland Tours for the Upper. And for the Lower, we just drove out ourselves and paid the guide - both offer different viewpoints and different learning experiences. Hope our paths cross sometime...:-)))
WOW!!! Your photos were amazing. Thanks for sharing. Happy Anniversary, too! ;-)
this post made me cry. Enough that I will work through the comment moderation words as many times as I have to to thank you for the photos. I have spent years traveling the canyons and have never managed to get to Page and the Antelope Canyon tours. It is on my bucket list. You are indeed blessed. You got the ray of light.
Congrats on staring 7 years. The pictures, WOW, just super. Can't wait to do this.

:-) You are welcome.
Antelope Canyon was a perfect location for an adventure photography session. I personally went to see this amazing place and was mesmerized with its light beams and bursting colors. I will be more than willing to also share with you the photos I have taken myself during my trip to Antelope Canyon. You can visit my own images for
