October 7, 2009 – Return to Everett

A short travel day – we made our way back to Everett.

We will be here until 10/18 or so.  Andy’s birthday is Friday (9th) and Bailey birthday is Monday (12th) – her first and Andy’s –hmmmm – :-))

October 6, 2009 – The Ferry, Whidbey Island, and Deception Pass

Today our travels took us by ferry to Whidbey Island.  Here is our ferry coming in:

We were going to stay in Fort Casey but their campground was one of those – reach out and touch your neighbor ones – in other words, packed in like sardines.  So we moved up along the island and saw this little one:

We decided to stay at Deception Pass State Park on the north end of Whidbey Island.  This is Cranberry Lake:
