We continued onto the connecting path to the Navajo Loop:

Trees growing in between the hoodoos:

A nice portion of the connecting trail was in the valley. Beautiful pines:

We found our third benchmark at the bottom of the Navajo Trail:

The Navajo Trail was up and up with some great scenery. A change of 521’ in 0.6 miles - and I felt it too!

And the serpentine trail to the top!

We are so glad we did this - every turn on the trail had jaw dropping scenery. This is a magical place.

Back home I updated the blogs from the past few days and hopefully I can get them all uploaded.

Another wonderful day in paradise.

Enjoy today.

May 23, 2013 Walking Among the Hoodoos Part 1

Today our journey took us on the Queen’s Garden / Navajo Loop Hike. It was a total of 3 miles with elevation changes (320’ down and 521’ up).

We parked our car at Sunset Point, walked 0.5 miles on the rim trail to Sunrise Point. It was early morning and the hoodoos looked like they were glowing.

Andy is in the middle of the path - these hoodoos are HUGE:
