Hard to believe it has been two weeks since I updated. Wow. It has been a busy two weeks.
Week of March 17th
Lunch with my friend Dawn – great time. I met Dawn in 2009 and we have kept in touch. It was great to spend time with her and get caught up.
More of our old friends came into the park – Sue and Bruce, Geri and John. It was great to see them again and get caught up with each other.
Steve set up his telescope one evening and we viewed the Panstarrs comet – WOW. Here is one of Steve’s photos":
And prepping for bead week – making up my kits and instructions, helping price and sort some of the store items and of course, reconnecting with some of my beading buddies – :-)) as well as meeting new ones.
On Sunday, the 24th, Bead Week started with registration and seminars. Monday, I taught a class in the AM and worked the store in the afternoon. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I worked the store in the morning and took a class in the afternoon. Thursday, I worked in the store and Friday, I taught a class in the AM and worked the store in the afternoon. Each evening was filled with more beading or eating – pot luck, pizza, and happy hours. (Need to get back on track again – :-)). Thanks to Lila, Diane, and Cathy for a WONDERFUL week.
It was great to see the talent and creativity of all the people here – just AWESOME! I just hope some of this rubs off on me.
Tuesday, 26th was my birthday and what a nice surprise – cake, wine, singing and celebration. And so many good wishes sent my way by phone, email, facebook, and in person. :-)) Thank you.
L-R: Vince, Wendy, Bruce, Sue, John, me, Geri, and Steve:
While us girls were beading, the boys took a few 4x4 trips – check out the scenery:
Today we celebrated Easter at the clubhouse. Our group – Bruce, Sue, John, Geri, me, Andy, Jud, JoAnn, Wendy, and Vince:
One of the great things I like about this lifestyle is the people you meet and just click with. I met JoAnn a few weeks ago at the laundry in Quartzsite. She is also from Pennsylvania and as we talked we found out we had a lot in common. And here it is three weeks later we are sharing a holiday meal – :-))
When we were taking pictures, this lady knelt by me and wanted in the picture – what fun and no I still don’t know her.
The beautiful sunsets continue:
Tomorrow we are heading back to our lot in Casa Grande for a few days and then on to New Mexico so stay tuned.
I usually sign off with a cute saying but tonight I will leave you with these pictures taken by Steve Coe (thanks Steve and see you next season – :-)). For my east coast family and friends, this is how the skies look every night – WOW!
Enjoy today.
