We woke to another beautiful day and made our way north on US-191 where we passed some interesting rock formations:
Lots of orange colored sand – the pictures do not do it justice!
A little town where all the houses were either blue or had blue roofs – not sure why:
Lots of free roaming horses and most were beautiful:
We climbed and crossed plateaus where it seemed we could see forever:
At the junction with US-160, we headed west:
The sand was still orange:
Horses:
More scenes from the road:
Could aliens have made this circle in the rocks? :-))
And our last leg took us north on SR-98 into Page:
We arrived at the Elks Lodge in Page where we will be for a couple of days. The last time we were here was in November of 2011 but this time we decided to do electric and water.
After setting up, we went for supplies and then Happy Hour at the Lodge – another wonderful, fun time meeting everyone here.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s adventure.
