July 21, 2007 – Denali – Hiking and Dog Mushing

Still no mountain!!!

This morning we drove to Savage Creek and did the trail loop there.

It was a nice walk along the creek. Andy and I have talked about going into the back country for a day hike. We have talked with others who have done it but we are not sure at this point.

This afternoon we went to the sled dog demonstration. These dogs are trained by the Park Service and are used all winter long to patrol the park. We were able to go thru the kennels and pet the dogs before the demonstration:

And my cold has hit full force so by late afternoon, I was hurting and now resting…
