This morning we woke to another beautiful day and decided to check out two more trails in the park.
The first one was the Archeology Trail – short but steep.
This is the site:
The views:
Check out the blue colors on this little guy:
Since it was such a short trail, we checked out the Watchman Trail.
We were not sure if we could do this trail but decided to try it. We figured we could always turn back.
The trail started out fine, some ups and downs:
And then it went up:

Views from the trail:
A view of the trail from above:
Neat rock – or maybe petrified wood – we were not sure:
At one point, we took a break and were debating whether we should continue or not. We were about halfway up and just decided to go for it.
Almost there – the viewpoint is on the top of that mesa:
Lots of wildflowers along the trail:
We made to the top – YEA! The rewards were the incredible views.
The Zion Canyon:
Springdale:
The South Campground where we are camped is among those trees:
It almost looks like a painting behind me:
Mushroom Rock:
The Mesa in the middle of this picture is where we were:
What a great hike – we are so glad we went for it!
Back home, we started to put away our outside items. We are leaving this magical place tomorrow but they are calling for rain tonight.
This evening, Marcia and Bill had us over for a great dinner (thanks – :-))).
We have had a wonderful time here at Zion National Park and hope you enjoyed our visit too.

Congratulation on making it to the top. Your photos from your entire visit have been wonderful. I liked Zion better than Bryce. Looking from the valley floor upwards was much more interesting than driving from overlook to overlook and looking down. We are not hikers like you and Andy so thanks for sharing all the places we missed.
Thanks Judy and Luke. We are not really hikers but do enjoy some of the trails.. We will be heading to Bryce in another week..
