Today we decided to do a few short trails in the park. When we finally got our acts together we picked up the Shuttle at the Visitor Center and got dropped off at the Weeping Rock Stop.
The Weeping Rock trail was one mile round trip with an elevation change of 98 feet.
It was beautiful at the top of the trail. Lots of droplets coming out of the rocks and dropping on us. The sound was like a gentle rain in the forest. And the greenery – oh my! It was beautiful!
View from the Trail:
We hopped back on the shuttle and hopped off at the Court of the Patriarchs stop and took the short trail to the view point.
Aren’t they magnificent! Yes, these are my pictures – the clouds at the right time too – am I blessed :-))):
Zion has some of the tallest sandstone cliffs in the world – this place is truly magical.
A little more on the Sentinel Slide Area:
After coming down from the trail, we hopped on the Shuttle and hopped off at Canyon Junction, where we took the Pa’rus Trail back to camp.
The trail was a beautiful paved trail that was on the canyon floor and crossed the Virgin River several times. It was so peaceful.
This looked like an irrigation ditch – it followed us all the way back to camp.
Isn’t this beautiful:
I wonder what kind of creature this was – looks like he walked around while the cement was still drying – :-)):
What a wonderful walk!
Late afternoon, Bill and Marcia came over and we enjoyed supper over the fire and lots of chatting and laughing. And we had some new visitors:
Another wonderful day in Zion!
