December 19, 2008 – Care Center and Party

This morning we took the tour of the Care Center. This center is an adult day care and residency program designed for RVers whose travels are permanently stopped because of age or just temporarily interrupted because of an illness. Personal and health care is provided daily and residents return to their own RV with the security of knowing someone is within call if needed. Meals are provided as well as some daily assistance.

If Andy or I were to get sick and need help while we are traveling, we would want to be here.

This afternoon we meet with our Christmas dinner tablemates to discuss what we are all bringing. The club supplies ham and turkey and then we supply the sides.

After social hour today, there was a Christmas Caroling Parade:

A number of people were on the trolley and others followed in their golf cart. They went thru the park and stopped at the Care Center and many of the shut-ins. After that, we had a party at the clubhouse including a bonfire – what a wonderful time!!
