April 14, 2009 – More British Columbia

We continued on our way today to the Alaskan Highway.  We traveled thru the awesome Frasier Canyon:

We stopped for lunch at the Log Cabin Pub in Spences Bridge, BC.  This pub is owned by John and Laurie Kingston and we stopped here 2 years ago.  Well it turns out that Laurie remembered us and we had a really nice chat.   If anyone is headed this way, stop by and tell them Andy and Diane from Pennsylvania sent you.

We are truly in North Country.

We have had some trouble finding a place to stay.  The provincial parks do not open until mid May and many of the other parks do not open until May 1 (although some of their advertisements say April 1).   Once we saw the snow and ice, we decided we wanted a campground tonight.   So we are staying at the Wildwood Campsite north of Williams Lake.  Here is our site:
