Warning: This blog is picture intense! (which is why this is in two parts).
Our travels today took us on Utah’s scenic highways 95 and 24 and all I can say is OH MY!!!!
So come along and enjoy our view.
Some steep grades and cows too:
Combs Ridge:
Where we went thru the ridge:
I did find out that many of these swirls were formed when the Colorado Plateau rose and the seas left – the swirls were caused by the rushing water. (I still think some of these look like cow plops – LOL! Given the surrounding area – maybe even dinosaur plops.)
The two lane road took us along the mountains and interesting rock formations of the Colorado Plateau:
Heading down to the Colorado River:
This scenery is almost prehistoric looking – I was waiting to see a T-Rex around the corner:
The Colorado River Bridge:
Our Journey continues on part two of 5/20/14.
