Andy and I had another early day. We were able to catch some of the Dawn Patrol getting ready:
We met up with our pilot – he was part of the first wave in launching of the competitors. Today’s competition was dropping a bean bag on X’s in various fields.
Here we are – waiting for the launch person to give us a go. That is Andy holding on…(cause I left him to take this picture – :-():
And they are off…
We jumped in the truck and off we went. Now this is the first time we had to drive and watch where the balloon landed. The other times we had been part of the crew but others took care of the driving and locating. Thank God for GPS. We kept the balloon in sight and just kept going. Of course, those of you who know Andy and I – we never agree on what roads to take – LOL!!! Anyway, they came down before we got there (sorry, Bruce) but with Bruce’s guidance on the phone, we found them, packed up and back to the field we went. What an experience.
The rest of the day, I spent trying to get caught up with the blog, taking it easy, enjoying Happy Hour and chatting. Another early day tomorrow so stay tuned.
