April 9th, 2024 Part One - Grand Canyon West Day Two

Our first stop today was Hualapai Point to check it out.   Sadly, the only thing open was the gift shop, restaurant, and zip line.  So no gallery or native museum.  Bummer.

We then went back to the Main Terminal for a bus ride to Eagle Point.

From the bus drop off to the Skywalk:

The Skywalk was incredible.  No reflections and we could see to the bottom - WOW!  I am so glad that we got tickets for two days. This should be on everyone's bucket list!

Nearby they have a loop trail that has some examples of Native American traditional shelters and ceremonial structures and that was our next stop.

There were having a show of traditional Hualapai dance.  It was wonderful.  When she was taking her break, we spent some time talking with her.  The two boys are her grandsons and she is teaching her granddaughters some of the songs.  She is also part of a group of Natives that give demonstrations and shows throughout the area.  She was very interesting.  She made the beaded shawl  - it was beautiful.

We made our way back to the bus and then to Guano Point - that will be in Part Two.
