April 15, 2024 Part 1 - Travel to Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge

We woke to another beautiful day but windy.  According to the weather forecast, it was only going to be windy in the North Valley.  So we packed up and headed north.

I realized that I did not take any pictures of our camp location.  We are on the north side of Las Vegas.  Here is the view from the back of the motorhome:

Mountains in the front:

The RV park is on the hill on the right:

One last close up of the mountains:

At night we were able to see the Las Vegas Strip lights in the distance.  Nice and I would definitely stay here again.

On the interstate heading north, there are miles and miles of warehouses:

Heading north on US-93 - this is new territory for us.  The black is a huge solar farm.

The views were incredible:

The tumbleweeds are resting - LOL:

The road goes on forever:

Love the swirls in the hills:

Yep, just keep going straight:

Interesting things along the way:

Interesting electrical towers:

Through the mountains:

Into Pahranagat Valley:

On our way to the campground:

We are at the Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge Campground.  There are 15 sites along the lake and it is free to stay.  They depend on donations and all of the donations stay here.  (Very nice to know.)

It is beautiful and I will have pictures next blog.
