December 2-11, 2021 Our Time Near Dallas-Fort Worth

We left our dusty spot in Oklahoma City and traveled south thru windmills:

We made our way to Hickory Creek ACOE Campground just south of Corinth.  Oh my goodness, I am not use to cities in the west.  They just go on for miles and miles..  It was so nice to find this spot not too far away from all the hustle and bustle.  Isn’t it beautiful!

Within 2 miles, there is everything.  Reminds me of what our friends, Dave and Nina, said about Las Vegas.  Neighborhoods are planned that everything you need is within two miles.  I can tell you that it is true here.

One of the days we had Ann and Norlynn and their little puppy Koda here for burgers and a campfire.  I have known Ann going on 40 years and she is still close to my heart.  (Love ya!)

Another day, Ann and I spent time together getting caught up.  Our picture using my new selfie stick:

One evening we met for dinner at the famous Babe’s Chicken in Frisco where we enjoyed Fried Chicken and Fried Catfish.  Not good for the heart but yummy.

The restaurant – it was really cool inside too…

So what else have we been up to – Smile

Andy and I are feeling so much better.  I can tell you that it sucks to be sick on the road.  Thank God Andy was near the end of his illness as I was starting mine.

We moved from our spot to another last Wednesday.  Sorry no pictures.  And on Monday, we will be moving to lakeside for a week.  So yes, for now, we will be staying in this area for a while.

The weather has been crazy.  Some days have been in the 80’s and other day’s in the 50’s.  One day we are wearing T-shirts and another sweaters – too funny.  But there is no snow and that is okay.

And, of course, the normal stuff… laundry, cleaning, shopping, haircuts, and next week the cats will get their nails cut.

So stay tuned and enjoy today.
