We woke to another sunshiny day (really treasuring them now) and away we went east – Past swamps, rivers, and over bridges:
Into Alabama:
The Mobile Alabama Skyline:
Thru the tunnel under the city:
And out the other side – on the Mobile Bay Bridge:
U.S.S. Alabama in the background:
The sun creating sparkles on the bay:
We arrived at the Escape Rainbow Park – The Rainbow Plantation – in Summerdale, Alabama. We have been here before – large sites under beautiful trees and we were glad that we got a site – it is pretty full.
After checking in and setting up, we went to the local grocery store to stock up and get our favorite local beer – Yuengling Lager. It is only sold in 14 states and it is as good as we remember. So back home, we sat under the trees and had our own little happy hour.
We will be here for a few days to do some sightseeing so stay tuned and enjoy today.
Stats for today:
Miles Traveled: 90 Miles
Routes Traveled:
Mississippi: Gay Road; Promenade Parkway; SR-16; I-10
Alabama: I-10; US-98; CR-32; CR-9; CR-28
