Another road trip day – YEA!
We packed our lunches and took the back roads to Guernsey:
One of the Pony Express Stops:
Less than a mile away from the stop is Register Cliff. The Cliff is behind this sign and rises 100 feet from the Platte River:
There were many signatures. Sadly, many were graffiti. But we did find many that were real:
So sad when folks desecrate historic areas – I do not understand their thought process!!!!!

And lots of “Muddappers” (not sure of their real name). If you look real close, you can see the babies peaking out:

Wow!!! What hardy folks – I am so spoiled traveling in a motorhome! Many of these folks walked that journey. The wagons were mostly for carrying supplies. Wow again!
We continued on to Guernsey State Park to see some of the work of the CCC.

Wow Diane, this is definitely on our "2014 going south" list. Now I just have to figure out where it is.
