It was so good to see everyone here and spend some time with family (thank you, Sandy and Mike). We even got to see our great-granddaughter walking. She is beautiful..
We also spent time cleaning and fixing the MH. Lots of things shook loose – oh my..
So we did not do much sightseeing – but Mike and Sandy treated us to the Mariners/Yankee game at Safeco Stadium on Saturday (19th) night and it was wonderful. There’s something about going to a baseball game – a hotdog, a beer, the game, the music, the people – how exciting!!
And blog and picture update – None – sorry!! I seemed to have been in a funk in taking pictures and updating the blog…. (our friends, Bruce and Sue, call it post-Alaska withdrawal – LOL). So have decided that I need to snap out of it (today is the 23rd and I am just updating)!
We started to develop itchy feet so on Monday, 21st, we went back on the road. We intend to come back to Sandy and Mike’s in early October for Andy and Bailey’s birthdays.
So we made our way south and are staying at Shady Firs RV Park in Randle, WA. What a wonderful park – it is almost like a state park. The owners, Janice and Cliff, have gardens and gave us some fresh tomatoes – MMMMMM. We also purchased some corn and Cliff took us out in the field to pick it – how fresh is that!!! And we have a fire pit so tonight we had a nice little camp fire.
The weather the past few weeks has been WONDERFUL!!! And should be the same the rest of the week so we will be exploring the Mt. St. Helen area and Mt. Rainer area.
Stay tuned!!
