Most of today’s topography was flat - very flat - dotted with farms, ranches, small towns, granaries, and feed lots.
This is an interesting road. On the left, there are two lanes and on the right one lane with the ability to pass. I will bet a lot of folks on the left don’t stay in that passing lane for long. I am not use to the flatness so the distances for me are deceiving.
We stopped at a city park for lunch in Meade, Kansas. What a coincidence - we were at this same park in September 2010 - .
Our day ended in Dalhart Texas at the Elks Lodge where we had a great time meeting the local folks and learning about this area.
Tomorrow we will continue our travels so stay tuned and enjoy today.
