Today was one of those “Hang Out” days. We went to an informational meeting on upcoming 4x4 trips so stay tuned for that. We also made reservations for the two tours at Scotty’s Castle on Wednesday.
The 49er’s Pre-Encampment has started. We hear all kinds of music and there are a lot of activities coming up. According to the folks we have talked with, this one is more subdued than other years for two reasons: the government shutdown and the bad storms that happened here in August - many areas are closed due to that damage. And the sad news is there will be no wagon train this year because of the areas that are closed. Bummer
