We woke this morning to a heavy frost all over - BRRRR... Time to head south.
And off we go:
That white stuff is heavy frost:
We saw a few of these signs at the end of a dirt road - cute:
Poles that look like a row of crosses:
Cemetery on a hill:
Rolling Golden Hills - I just love it:
Trains, trains, and more trains:
The Platte River:
So many of the small towns decorate their water towers:
And into Kansas:
And a SNOWSTORM:
As the snow was getting deeper along the road and the temperature was going down past 36 degrees, we decided to get off the road.
We are staying at the Coronado Motel and RV park in Lindsborg, Kansas. It is a Passport America and okay for one night. The snow eventually stopped and the sun came out but it is COLD!!!
We continue to head south west tomorrow so stay tuned and enjoy today.
Stats for Today:
Miles Traveled: 312 Miles
Nebraska: Industrial Drive; SR-9; SR-51; US-275; US-81
Kansas: US-81; US-81B
PS. I have to add something to the above. My mom passed away in 2007 and for the next three years, you cannot imagine how much money I found - at least every week, sometimes every day. Since 2010, it is only occasionally. So yes I do believe this. Either she has passed on or she knows I am okay. Love you mom and Nana. (The same thing happened when my grandmother passed away.)
