July 12- 13, 2009 – Taking it Easy in Palmer, AK

We left Talkeetna this morning (12th)and took our good ole time, moseying down the highway.  Once we got into Wasilla, we stopped to do laundry, then groceries and then headed to the Elks Lodge in Palmer where we met up with Larry, Cheryl, Bruce, and Sue.

This is our first stay at an Elks Lodge since we joined and it is beautiful – see pictures below.   We also met fellow Escapees, Jan and Ken.   And we all had a great evening chatting and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Today (13th), I went into town for a haircut (a little short but it will grow out – :-))), then shopping for missed items and back at the MH where I spent time getting caught up with computer stuff.

We all got together late afternoon for a great time chatting.  They had steak night at the lodge so Larry, Cheryl, Andy and I wandered off for our steaks – MMMMM!!  And an early evening tonight – too much partying yesterday – :-).
