November 7-8, 2011 Hanging Out and Traveling

Sunday, November 7, we woke to rain, cold, and very dreary.  So the first part of the day was spent going to the dump, laundry, pick up a few grocery items, getting caught up on the blog and other odds and ends.   We met Pam and Steve at the Elks, then went to dinner at the “Dam Bar and Grill” in the Dam Plaza (doesn’t that just sound funny – had a great meal, by the way), and then finished the evening with a night cap at the Elks.   We have had a great week here, seeing Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon – both by land and by boat, exploring the Page area, being at a party on a houseboat, getting to help with ballooning and getting a ride (Andy) and the best part was enjoying it with Escape Boomer friends – thanks Pam and Steve and Mike and T.

Monday, November 8

We woke to clear, sunny skies and a little chilly (29 – Brrr).   And snow on the mountains – it is time to go.  The scenery today was INCREDIBLE (and AWESOME too – :-)).  We had a long travel day so come along with me in pictures:

We are staying at the SKP Co-op Park in Pahrump, Nevada for a few days to get some things done – maintenance, cleaning, etc.  Plus we found out that we have moved up on the list to number 55.  We were 86 last November.  Yea..but still a few more years wait – :-((.   Not sure what else we will be doing so stay tuned.
