This blog is picture intensive… I just had to capture this event – green and flowering desert!
What a beautiful day for a walkabout.
Looking out over the east wall:
One of Joan Tarkin’s fabulous paintings:
This road is on the south wall of the park – looking west:
Looking east:
I think the RV’s are being stored along the road (?).
View of the park from the back field:
The desert has grass!
This “carpet” is very tiny flowers:
If you enlarge this picture, you can see the tiny flowers:
OMGoodness… It may need to be mowed!
Tabletop Mountain in the distance. The trees are starting to green up too.
Oh my, the flowers!
Shadows on the mountains:
Looking back at the park:
Old irrigation system:
Since we have been coming here (2008), these fields have not been farmed. Not sure why.
Wheelies in the desert and orange flowers in the background:
Beautiful!
Part of the irrigation system:
The park – yes, we are in the middle of fields – it is great!
Crop circles – LOL!
More flowers:
Andy looking for me –
He saw me now!
Our lot:
What a treat to be here during this Bloom!!
Tomorrow we head to Yuma for our final dental work and then start to slowly head east so stay tuned and enjoy today.
Thanks for these beautiful pictures! No one really realizes how beautiful and gorgeous the desert can be.
