Washington. My family owned an old hotel up there, near the site of the present observatory. It was called the Summit House, built around 1870 by Colonel J. Dodge, and sold to my great grandfather, around 1885. It operated from then untill it was destroyed by fire in 1908. A newspaper was printed in an office, adjacent to the hotel, and was called " Among The Clouds", which today is a valuable publication, if you can find one.
