February 28, 2015 Travel to the Rainbow Plantation in Summerville Alabama

We woke to another sunshiny day (really treasuring them now) and away we went east – Past swamps, rivers, and over bridges:

We arrived at the Escape Rainbow Park – The Rainbow Plantation – in Summerdale, Alabama.  We have been here before – large sites under beautiful trees and we were glad that we got a site – it is pretty full.

After checking in and setting up, we went to the local grocery store to stock up and get our favorite local beer – Yuengling Lager.  It is only sold in 14 states and it is as good as we remember.  So back home, we sat under the trees and had our own little happy hour.

We will be here for a few days to do some sightseeing so stay tuned and enjoy today.
