December 9, 2008 – Travel Day 2 in Arkansas

As we continued our travels today we passed through some beautiful areas of Arkansas – small rolling hills, heavily forested areas and small towns – it reminds me of north central PA.

We arrived at Crater of Diamonds State Park near Murfreesboro about mid-morning and will be here for 7 nights – can you believe $9.38 per night! We did our normal when we stay longer, get set up, then check out the local town.

We had rain off and on today so no campfire tonight but the weather is going to clear up later this week - can’t wait to have steak and potatoes over the fire. And once the field dries out, we will be searching for diamonds – wish us luck - :-)
